Little League baseball, a pitched ball hits the ground,
is the ball dead or can the batter hit the ball fair? Best Answer - Chosen By Voters A bounced ball is no different from a
non-bounced one, except a bounced one is never a called strike. The batter can
still get a hit with it, but the batter probably should never swing.
Little league baseball players & college football
players?why shouldn't little league baseball players and college football ,basketball
players etc get paid ? a pat on the back and a trophy can't buy clothes &
pay the Dr. bill when they get injured can they Best Answer - Chosen By Voters
I am the vice-president of our local
little league...and I can't believe you even asked that question. The main
objective for little leaguers is to learn. Not only learn the rules but good
sportsmanship and team work. A lot of the kids that are playing would settle for
a pat on the back and a "job well done" from their coach which whom they
probably look up to. At least if they get a trophy (which we give out medals)
that is something they can keep for a lifetime. And as far as having to pay the
doctor's bill when they get injured...well your local little league has to carry
insurance on each and every child playing specifically for that reason. As long
as they are injured at the ball diamonds while playing ball...the insurance
kicks in to help defray costs. The bottom line is....these are kids...they are
out there to do their best and have fun...not earn a paycheck.
Little league baseball, a hit ball bounces pass the
first baseman, who had a chance to make a play.?The fisrt baseman just
missed the ball which now hits the runner. Is the runner out? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
The runner is not out......the first
baseman had the opportunity to field the ball.....he had his chance without
obstruction (I assume) from the runner then he is not out......in any baseball
game.....remember this happening in a Cub or Dodger game years back....same
thing except the 3rd baseman dove at the ball to his left and missing...the ball
hit the runner and he was called out.....Don Zimmer came out and protested the
call and the same point I made was pointed out by Zimmer...the call was
reversed...........take this to the bank and cash it "he is not out" Asker's
Rating: This is the answer I was looking for. If the fielder had a chance
to make a play and never touches the ball, then the ball hits a base runner, the
runner is not out and the play continues. I though the runner would still be
out, but I was looking for an example. Great answer and thank you M.M.
little league baseball rules question?Hello, my 9 yr old son
plays on a local ALL STAR tournament league. Yesterday an opposing player was
caught hitting, scoring with a softball bat/unregulated bat. The umpire caught
it, but the score, hits etc still remained. shouldnt have this been a protest
game? please help we are very upset about this and cant find any infor relating
to this Best Answer - Chosen By Voters
It depends on when it was caught. If it
was immediately after the play, then the play should not have counted. If it was
sometime after the game (or even later in the game after the offending inning)
there probably isn't much that could be done other than play the game under
protest. If you are in the fifth inning, you can't make changes to the second
inning.
Why Play Little League
Sanctioned Baseball? For many parents, baseball is baseball and little league is Little League
but involved parents need to know, there are important reasons to be in a Little
League chartered program! Little League is a registered trademark of Little
League sponsored youth baseball and softball which is responsible for
districting and chartering local Little League programs throughout the world. In
fact, we absolutely believe that parents should seek out the Little League
program in their district as the league of choice for youth baseball. Remember,
Little League is not a generic brand, it’s an important differentiator that’s
good for your children and your entire family. http://www.littleleague.org/
